What is the Hill Tide?

The Hill Tide is a natural occurrence that happens each Tarpon Season.  During the New and Full Moon equinox in May & June the Calico Crab begins it's journey from Charlotte Harbor to the Gulf of Mexico.  As millions of crabs wash through Boca Grande Pass, the Tarpon move to an area locally known as The Hill.  Here the Tarpon can gorge themselves on these tasty treats.  In fisherman's terms, this is some awesome angling!!!  Fish are voraciously & visibly feeding - making this one of the most exciting times to be on the water!!!
