Pitching Philosophy
Pitching in its purest form is a game within a game. It is cat and mouse between a pitcher and a hitter. Pitching is central to the game of baseball. Nothing can happen until a pitch is delivered to home plate. As pitchers, we strive to master the strike zone. We try to keep our opponents off balance in order to get them out in the fewest number of pitches. This goal is best accomplished by pitching ahead in counts, changing speeds and using both sides of the plate. Those who master these objectives are among the elite in the game.
